Zhangjiajie
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is located in Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. It is China's first national forest park, holding UNESCO World Heritage, Global Geopark, and National 5A Scenic Area status. Famous for its unique "Zhangjiajie landform," over 3,000 quartz sandstone peaks rise dramatically—the prototype for the floating Hallelujah Mountain in Avatar.
Key attractions each offer distinct charm: Huangshi Village overlooks the vast peak forest, with the saying "Without Huangshi Village, Zhangjiajie is not worth the trip"; Golden Whip Stream was a filming location for Journey to the West, with crystal-clear waters; Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain showcase grandeur and elegance. Forest coverage exceeds 97%, with abundant negative oxygen ions and rare species like dove trees and clouded leopards. Beautiful in all seasons, it is both a natural wonder and ecological treasure.
